Education and Values for Sustainable Development with the Earth Charter

A one-week intensive program on Education for Sustainable Development and Earth Charterin May 2013 in Costa Rica

[Translate to english:] Your invited to join the International Earth Charter Network and the Earth Charter Education Center Programme for Educators in a one-week intensive program with the title "Education and Values for Sustainable Development with the Earth Charter. Teaching What Really Matters". The program takes place from 13. till 17 Mai 2013 in Costa Rica instructed by Dr. Sam Crowell, professor emeritus of education at California State University–San Bernardino and a founder and co-director of the MA in Holistic and Integrative Education and the Center for Holistic and Integrative Learning.

The program introduces sustainable development, and the implications it has for education, learning, and change.  Using a holistic and integrative approach, it explores practical methods for introducing the values of sustainability, as articulated in the Earth Charter to schools and classrooms. It draws on the most recent understanding from the neurosciences to inform your teaching.

A Certificate on Education for Sustainable Development with the Earth Charter will be awarded upon completion of the course.
